My desk lamp because it bends and was only $11 from Home Depot. Light is very important. I have burned up too many chips by reversing their direction.

I found that the light puts off a lot of heat and is hard to adjust once it is hot. So I replaced the 60watt bulb with:
Compact Fluorescent Energy Saver / 14 Watt / 60 Watt Equivalent
I am so happy with it now. I can touch the bulb. It is warm but won't burn me. It is actually brighter than the 60 watt bulb I originally was using. Fluorescents are amazing.

Then I got Kronus Helping Hands . It has a heavy base but not heavy enough so I drilled two holes in the base and screwed it to the lamp which has a heavy base. I don't have a bench vice, or three hands, so this is my alternatitive.
I am thinking about getting a second Helping Hands. I have now found them online for $6 instead of $16 at the rat shack.
